Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Paneer
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil or ghee in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Add the paneer cubes and sauté until they are golden brown on all sides. Remove the paneer from the pan and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Onions and Tomatoes
- In the same pan, add another tablespoon of oil or ghee.
- Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add the sliced onions (2 onions) and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and slit green chilies. Sauté for another 2 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
- Add the finely chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.

- Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the kasuri methi and garam masala. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.

- Add the sautéed paneer cubes to the gravy and mix well.
- Add the remaining sliced onion (1 onion) and cook for another 5 minutes until the onions are slightly tender but still have a crunch.
