- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds

- 1 teaspoon Red chili powder adjust to taste
- 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons Ghee or oil
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

- In a pressure cooker or large pot, combine washed arhar dal and water. Add turmeric powder and salt to taste.
